The Skinny: A bright American bistro built around rotisserie chicken, Cleo aspires to fit neatly into the genre of “beloved neighborhood restaurant” on opening day. Opened last month at the corner of Hudson and Jane in the West Village, it’s the first Manhattan project from Halley Chambers and Kip Gleize, the team behind Fort Greene bistro Margot and Brooklyn Heights spot Montague Diner.
