RESTAURANTS • The Ask

Since we launched FOUND, we’ve been asking all new subscribers to tell us their favorite restaurant. Thousands of you have obliged, for which we are grateful. (It’s a great list!) Today, as we prepare to draft the first-ever canonical list of FOUND’s favorite NYC restaurants (the FOUND 45), we’re asking those of you who haven’t shared your favorite restaurant to reply to this email and give up the goods. Bonus points for a line or two explaining why you love the restaurant.

ASK FOUND

Have you tried our new recommendation engine, Ask FOUND? With your help, it’s getting better every day, but if you don’t get the answer you need, email us at found@itsfound.com and we’ll get back to you the old-fashioned away.

Neighborhood you live in: Pelham Bay

It’s Tuesday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Tuesday mornings usually start with stepping back into a space that feels like the neighborhood’s living room. After a busy spring weekend, it’s refreshing to be surrounded by focused, creative energy, with members easing into meetings in the Library, creative projects being sketched out over coffee in the Atrium, and the occasional early lunch at Cecconi’s, where a “quick bite” almost always turns into a full catch-up. There’s a rhythm to it all that blends focus with a sense of community, and I take great joy in helping to set the tone for our members as they move through their week.

What’s on the agenda for today?
A mix of meetings with members, fine-tuning details for our summer programming, and collaborating with our teams to bring new ideas to life. We’re building a calendar that reflects the best of New York culture. One night it might be a wine pairing dinner, the next a panel with a designer or a late-night comedy set in our Magic Room. My favorite part of the job is creating those moments where people feel both inspired and connected.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
Café Mogador is my standby: Moroccan flavors, a cozy vibe, and that rare balance of neighborhood spot and special-occasion go-to. If not there, I’m usually exploring a new wine bar. I love a list with some surprises, the kind that makes you try something you’ve never tasted before.

How about a little leisure or culture this week?
I try to balance wellness and culture. Othership, the modern bathhouse near the Club, has become a reset button for me, and it’s always fun to see other members using their membership perks there as well. The sauna and ice bath sessions feel both communal and grounding. For culture, I often find myself at Dizzy’s Club, where the lineup is a mix of legends and fresh voices in jazz. One of the perks of my job is that I don’t always have to leave work to experience something inspiring, from magic shows to live music in the Atrium to talks that spotlight different perspectives. I feel lucky to be surrounded by it daily.

What’s a recent big ticket purchase you love?
On a trip to Barcelona, I stumbled upon ADN Galeria and splurged on a framed print. Getting it home was a challenge, but it now anchors a corner of my apartment and instantly brings me back to Gaudí and those winding Barcelona streets. In New York, Poster House is where I’d go for something similar, as they always have beautifully curated exhibitions and prints.

What NYC store or service do you always recommend?
FlowerSchool New York. Their classes are the perfect pause from the city: creative, meditative, and you leave with an arrangement that feels like art for your home.

Where are you donating your time or money?
The Lower Eastside Girls Club. Their programs in arts, mentorship, and wellness open incredible doors for young women. I’m a mentor there, and it’s inspiring to see the way they nurture creativity and confidence in the next generation.
