It’s Tuesday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Tuesdays are our in-office days at Dudley Stephens. After dropping the kids off at school, I take our mini Australian Shepard (Bluey) for a walk and then head to the office where our team meets for in-person meetings, fittings, and/or photoshoots. We have a showroom and office space in the heart of Greenwich, where I also live. It’s a magical space, with lots of character and a very homey vibe.
What’s on the agenda for this week?
On Thursdays, my sister and business partner Kaki and I record and film our weekly episode of our podcast Two Sisters in Business, where we discuss all things business and motherhood, as well as the dynamics of a family business and what goes on behind the scenes. It’s always so much fun — we call it our weekly therapy! Meanwhile, other members of our team are at an all-day photoshoot, getting in all the photos for our new product drops for the upcoming quarter. There’s a lot going on, with a lot of moving parts.
Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
My husband and I have a date night planned this weekend at our favorite spot in town, Le Penguin. The chicken is much like the beloved chicken at Le Bilboquet in New York City, so usually one of us will order that and share. I also just ate dinner at the Greek restaurant Avra in New York City with my family, and it was delicious. The fried zucchini chips were unforgettable. Another spot in Greenwich we frequent is our absolute favorite Grigg Street Pizza. We’re good friends with the owners and the pizza is next level. Our favorite is the hot honey with pepperoni.
What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
I just bought this new DeMellier brown suede tote. It’s very well made and fits a ton of stuff — my laptop, kids snacks, and all of my work stuff. It’s so chic and goes with any outfit. I absolutely love it.
What NYC store or service do you love to recommend?
I would have to recommend a local shop in Greenwich — Michelangelo. It is the best place to find unique gifts you can personalize on the spot, and they typically have a quick turnaround if you’re in a bind and need something within a week or so.
Where are you donating your time or money?
To our charity partner, Bundles of Joy, based in Westchester, and servicing surrounding areas in Westchester and Fairfield County, as well as shelters in New York City. Bundles of Joy does amazing work supporting mothers in need.
